A RELX device is a compact, rechargeable, draw-activated pod vape that works with compatible RELX pods. It has no buttons to learn, no coils to change and no wattage to set, which is why it is the most common starting point for adult beginners.
If you want to buy the best RELX devices in Dubai UAE, here is the short version:
- Simplest and most affordable: RELX Essential 2.
- Best all-rounder with more colour options: RELX Infinity 2 (Dark Asteroid, Oasis Haze, Rose Gold, Pearl Glitter).
- Premium texture and long-battery focus: RELX Artisan Plus Black Wave.
- Classic Infinity colours: RELX Infinity Red and Infinity Blue.
- Always match your device with the right pods before ordering, and confirm compatibility on the product page or with support if you are unsure.

Walking into the world of vaping for the first time can feel confusing. Disposable vapes, refillable tanks, box mods, pod systems, nicotine salts, coil resistance, wattage ranges: the vocabulary alone puts many people off.
That is the exact problem RELX devices solve. A RELX device is built around one idea: make the experience simple. You insert a pod, take a draw, and the device does the rest. There is no tank to fill, no coil to prime and no menu to navigate.
In Dubai and across the UAE, this simplicity has made RELX one of the most searched pod brands among adult consumers. Whether you are switching from another product or simply looking for a neat, pocket-sized device, understanding the basics will help you choose the right hardware the first time.
This guide walks you through everything a beginner needs to know:
- What a RELX device actually is
- How it works
- The differences between the Essential, Infinity, Infinity 2 and Artisan Plus lines
- Which models are available right now at ELF Bar Store
- How to choose pods, charge safely and look after your device
- Common beginner mistakes
- Answers to the most frequently asked questions
By the end, you will know exactly what to look for when you buy the best RELX devices in Dubai UAE.
A RELX device is a small, rechargeable battery unit designed to power compatible RELX pods. The pods hold the e-liquid and the heating element, while the device supplies power and activates the pod when you inhale.
Think of it like a coffee capsule machine. The machine (the device) is reusable and rechargeable. The capsule (the pod) is the part you replace when it runs out.
- Rechargeable battery: charged by cable, so you are not throwing the whole unit away.
- Draw-activated firing: no fire button on most models. You simply inhale.
- Closed-pod design: pods click in and out, which keeps things clean and reduces leaks.
- Slim, pocket-friendly body: easy to carry all day.
- Minimal maintenance: no coil building, no wicking, no tank cleaning.
- Design variety: colours and finishes that suit different tastes.

How It Differs From Other Vape Types
| Type |
What You Do |
Beginner Friendliness |
| RELX pod device |
Insert a pod, charge the device, inhale |
Very high |
| Disposable vape |
Use until empty, then throw away |
High, but no reuse |
| Refillable pod kit |
Fill pods with liquid yourself |
Medium |
| Box mod and tank |
Adjust wattage, build or change coils |
Low |
For people who do not want to tinker, the RELX pod system sits in a sweet spot: more reusable than a disposable, far easier than a mod.
Understanding the basic process makes troubleshooting much easier later.
Step-by-Step
- Power: The rechargeable battery inside the device holds the energy.
- Pod connection: A compatible pod is inserted into the device. Small metal contacts connect the pod’s heating element to the battery.
- Draw detection: When you inhale through the mouthpiece, a sensor detects the airflow.
- Heating: The sensor tells the battery to send power to the heating element in the pod.
- Vapour production: The element warms the e-liquid in the pod, turning it into vapour that you inhale.
- Stop: When you stop inhaling, the sensor switches the power off.
What This Means for You
- No button means no accidental setting changes. There is very little that can go wrong.
- The pod and the device must be compatible. If a pod does not seat properly or the contacts do not connect, the device will not fire.
- The battery and the pod run out separately. A full battery does not help if the pod is empty, and vice versa.

Several practical factors explain why RELX keeps appearing in searches across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider UAE.
1. Simplicity
Most beginners want something that works straight away. RELX devices are designed around that expectation.
2. Portability
Dubai life is mobile: commuting, shopping malls, travel, long days between home and work. A slim device that slips into a pocket suits that rhythm.
3. Modern Design
RELX devices have a clean, minimalist look. Finishes such as Rose Gold, Pearl Glitter, Dark Asteroid and Oasis Haze appeal to buyers who care about style as much as function.
4. Easy Pod Ecosystem
Once you own a compatible device, you only need to replace pods. That makes ongoing use straightforward.
5. Convenient Online Delivery
Online stores such as ELF Bar Store make it easy to compare devices and pods in one place, with fast delivery options across the UAE.

With eight options, the choice can feel harder than it should. Use this checklist.
Step 1: Decide How Simple You Want It
If your main goal is “I just want it to work,” start with the Essential 2. If you are happy to have a few extra features such as adjustable airflow, move up to Infinity 2.
Step 2: Think About Battery Life
Heavy daily users and people who travel should look closely at the Artisan Plus, which is positioned around long battery life. Lighter users will be comfortable with any model.
Step 3: Pick a Finish You Will Enjoy
You will handle this device many times a day. A finish you like matters more than most beginners expect. Rose Gold and Pearl Glitter lean stylish, Black and Dark Asteroid lean discreet, and Red and Blue lean bold.
Step 4: Check Your Budget
Most models sit at AED 145, while Infinity Red and Infinity Blue are listed at AED 140. The difference is small, so choose on features and design rather than price alone.
Step 5: Plan Your Pods Before You Pay
A device is only half the system. Decide which pods you will use, and confirm they are compatible with your chosen device before checkout.
Step 6: Confirm Stock and Delivery
Check that your chosen colour is in stock and review delivery details. ELF Bar Store lists fast shipping and free delivery on qualifying orders (the site currently mentions free delivery up to AED 300 purchase; check the Payment and Delivery page for current terms).

RELX Pods: The Other Half of the System
Your device cannot do anything without a compatible pod. Pods contain the e-liquid and the heating element, and they are the consumable part of the system.
ELF Bar Store lists RELX pods in several options. Here is how to think about them:
- RELX 2 Pod 18mg: a pod option listed with an 18mg strength label.
- RELX Pod Pro 2 (3%): a pod listed at 3% nicotine strength.
- RELX Pod Pro 2 (5%): a pod listed at 5% nicotine strength.

How to Choose Pod Strength as a Beginner
Nicotine strength is one of the most important choices a beginner makes.
- Higher strength can feel stronger in the throat and delivers more nicotine per puff.
- Lower strength feels lighter and suits people who do not want a heavy hit.
- Starting too high is one of the most common beginner problems. It can cause dizziness, nausea or an unpleasant throat sensation.
If you are not currently a regular nicotine user, vaping nicotine is not recommended. If you are an adult smoker moving to a pod device, choose a strength that fits your current habits, and consider speaking to a healthcare professional for guidance.

Pod Compatibility: Do Not Skip This Step
Different RELX device generations may not all accept the same pods. Before ordering:
- Read the product page for your device and your pod.
- Check that the pod name matches the device generation.
- If anything is unclear, message ELF Bar Store support before you buy.

Using Your RELX Device for the First Time
Once your device and pods arrive, getting started takes only a few minutes.
First-Use Steps
- Unbox and inspect. Check that the device and pod are intact and that nothing looks damaged.
- Charge the device. Use the correct cable and a reliable power source. Many users give a new device a full charge before first use.
- Insert the pod. Push it in until it sits firmly. A loose pod is a common reason for the device not firing.
- Take a gentle draw. Start with a slow, steady inhale. You do not need to pull hard.
- Wait a moment between draws. Short pauses help the pod’s wicking keep up.
buy the best RELX devices in Dubai UAE→
Tips for a Smoother Start
- Do not chain-vape. Taking draws back to back can dry out the pod and create a burnt taste.
- Keep the device upright when possible. This helps the e-liquid flow evenly.
- Do not leave a half-seated pod in the device. If it feels loose, remove it and reinsert it.
- Learn the feel before you judge the flavour. The first few draws are not always representative.
Charging and Battery Care
The battery is the heart of the device. Good habits extend its life.
Do
- Use a suitable cable and adapter. Quality matters for both safety and battery health.
- Charge in a safe place. Place the device on a hard, non-flammable surface where you can see it.
- Unplug when fully charged. Avoid leaving it connected for very long periods.
- Keep the charging port clean. Dust and lint can interfere with the connection.
Do Not
- Do not charge unattended overnight in a pile of clothes or bedding.
- Do not use damaged cables or adapters.
- Do not leave the device in a hot car. The UAE climate is intense, and heat is hard on lithium batteries.
- Do not use a device that is swollen, hot to the touch or visibly damaged.

What Affects Battery Life?
- Model and battery capacity: different models have different batteries.
- Usage frequency: heavier use drains the battery faster.
- Temperature: very hot or very cold conditions reduce performance.
- Age: all rechargeable batteries slowly lose capacity over time.
Everyday Care and Storage Tips
A little care keeps your device looking good and working reliably.
- Wipe the mouthpiece and body with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
- Clean the pod contacts gently if you notice poor connection. Make sure the device is off and the pod is removed first.
- Store the device upright when you are not using it.
- Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
- Store spare pods in a cool, dry place in their original packaging.
- Keep everything away from children and pets.

Common Beginner Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)
Mistake 1: Choosing the Wrong Pod Strength
Starting with a strength that is too high is the single most common error. Choose carefully and adjust later.
Mistake 2: Ignoring Compatibility
Buying a device and a pod that do not match is frustrating and avoidable. Always check first.
Mistake 3: Pulling Too Hard
RELX devices are designed for gentle, smooth draws. A hard pull does not give you more; it can cause gurgling or a harsh taste.
Mistake 4: Letting the Pod Run Dry
If the flavour turns burnt or harsh, the pod may be nearly empty. Replace it rather than forcing more draws.
Mistake 5: Leaving the Device in the Heat
Cars, windowsills and balconies in the UAE can reach extreme temperatures. Heat can cause leaks and damage the battery.
Mistake 6: Using Unofficial Accessories
Cheap, unverified chargers and parts can harm the device. Use quality accessories and buy from a trusted store.
Mistake 7: Buying From Unreliable Sellers
Counterfeit or poorly stored products are a real concern in the vape market. Buy from a store that is transparent about its products and has clear contact and delivery information.

Anyone considering a nicotine product should understand the responsibilities that come with it.
- Adults only. These products are for adult nicotine users. Never share them with minors.
- Nicotine is addictive. Be honest with yourself about how much you use.
- Know local rules. Regulations on vaping products, labelling and public use can differ by emirate and can change. Check current UAE and local requirements before you buy and when you use a device in public places.
- Not a medical product. RELX devices are not approved treatments for any condition. If you want help quitting nicotine altogether, speak with a doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not use if you are pregnant, or have a health condition that nicotine could affect, without professional advice.
- Dispose responsibly. Used pods and old batteries should be disposed of at suitable collection points where available, not thrown in ordinary household waste.

A RELX device is a rechargeable, draw-activated battery unit that powers compatible RELX pods. It is designed for simple, low-maintenance use.
2. Are RELX devices good for beginners?
Yes. They have no complicated settings, no coils to change and no refilling, which is why many beginners start with a pod device like this.
If you want the simplest option, the Essential 2 is a strong starting point. If you want extra features and more finish options, consider the Infinity 2 range. For a premium feel and battery focus, look at the Artisan Plus.
At ELF Bar Store, the listed prices are AED 145 for the Essential 2, Infinity 2 and Artisan Plus models, and AED 140 for Infinity Red and Infinity Blue. Prices can change, so check the product page for the latest information.
This depends on the specific kit and listing. Check the product description before ordering, and plan to buy compatible pods if they are not included.
6. Are RELX pods interchangeable between all devices?
Not necessarily. Compatibility can vary between device generations. Always confirm on the product page or with support before buying.
Connect it to a suitable power source using the correct cable. The Infinity 2 range is described as supporting USB-C fast charging. Charge on a safe surface and do not leave it unattended for long periods.
8. How long does a RELX battery last?
Battery life depends on the model, how often you use it and your draw habits. The Artisan Plus is positioned around long battery life, but real-world results vary.
9. Why is my RELX device not firing?
Common causes include a low battery, a loose or empty pod, dirty contacts or a pod that is not compatible. Try charging the device, reseating the pod and cleaning the contacts. If the problem continues, contact support.
10. Why is my RELX pod leaking?
Leaks can come from heat, pressure changes, a damaged pod or poor seating. Store devices upright, avoid hot environments and replace a pod that appears damaged.
11. Is it normal for the first few puffs to taste different?
Sometimes. A new pod can take a few draws to wick properly. Use gentle draws and give it a moment.
12. What nicotine strength should a beginner choose?
Choose a strength that matches your current nicotine use and avoid starting too high. ELF Bar Store lists RELX Pod Pro 2 pods at 3% and 5%, and a RELX 2 pod at 18mg. If you are unsure, ask a healthcare professional or the store for guidance.
13. Can I use a RELX device while travelling?
Rules for carrying and using vaping devices differ between countries, airlines and airports. Check the regulations for your route before you travel, and do not assume your device is allowed everywhere.
Keep it out of direct sunlight, away from hot cars and off windowsills. Heat can damage the battery and increase the chance of leaks.
You can browse the full range, compare models and order online through ELF Bar Store, which lists RELX devices, RELX pods, RELX disposables and creator options in one place.
